DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operations and Distribution expense budgets;
- Manage the execution of operations activities in China, including responsibility for the development and direct supervision of the China logistics organization that performs end-to-end delivery management of products and goods;
- Lead the evaluation and selection of logistics services providers in China;
- Negotiate service agreements and rates using company’s global leverage and relationships;
- Provide collaborative leadership across multiple organizational levels, functions, locations, and entities to optimize cost and service delivery, and continuously improve business processes;
- Accountable for the Commercial, Service, and Supply Chain organizations to insure seamless operation of delivery flow to external and internal customers;
- Undertake additional accountability to the Finance function in regard to VAT management and reporting, maintaining required business records, and managing in accordance with the established approval matrix;
- Analyze logistics service needs and cost reduction opportunities;
- Develop logistics costs and execution models to optimize cost, delivery speed, and quality of services;
- Lead problem resolution activities, when required, to insure timely and safe deliveries to / from national locations;
- Develop and oversee maintenance of logistics management metrics to guide performance measurement and achieve fact based / data driven decisions;
- Assist as appropriate in developing packaging solutions to achieve damage-free shipments and reduce cost;
- Accountable to define and meet an inventory target;
- Responsible for optimizing the freight charges and using the most cost efficient transportation means.
