    Job Description

    Main Function:

    To manage overall HR responsibilities including strategy, planning, employee development and day-to-day HR support. This position will be a member of the Asia senior staff and will act as a business partner to achieve annual performance goals.


    Main Responsibilities:


    1.Provide HR leadership and support for the key business objectives. These objectives relate primarily to recruiting the right talent, developing employees and retaining the best while meeting company financial goals.
    2.Implement and ensure compliance with all company global HR policies.
    3.Lead all HR initiatives as directed by worldwide HR Director.
    4.Standardize Employee Handbooks for China locations.
    5.Review all company local HR policies and procedures currently in place in China. Revise if necessary to ensure compliance with labor law regulations.
    6.Create additional local HR policies and procedures to close the gap on HR issues that currently exist for which there is no standard practice or policy in place.
    7.Suggest changes if necessary and lead effort to develop a world class HR team. Train and mentor Regional HR team members.
    8.Direct China HR activities relating to employee development and succession planning.
    9.Evaluate Compensation Management process and work with senior management to ensure the right compensation structure is place for all personnel. Ensure company complies with local laws and regulations.
    10.Work with senior management to manage commission/bonus programs.
    11.Manage recruiting process for operations and management position recruiting effort in Asia. Standardize and manage labor contracts.
    12.Evaluate competitive pay practices and establish compensation and benefits policies with local offices.
    13.Ensure compliance with all governmental laws and regulations pertaining to social insurance.
    14.Manage all expatriate assignments including the coordination of immigration, relocation and tax compliance initiatives. Assist with Visa’s Passports and Letters of Invitation of business travellers.
    15.Work with finance team and third party vendors to support HR matters including expat IIT calculations and remittance, stock grant exercises, expat housing, staff payroll and taxes
    16.Provide HR support for the distribution of employee communication.
    17.Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post.

    4.Ability to speak & write good English and Chinese (Cantonese optional) ;
    5.Strong competencies in compensation & benefits, performance management and talent acquisition, training & development;
    6.Resourceful and have good insight and appreciation of HRM and HRD;
    7.Ability to lead and inspire the HR team; has demonstrated effective leadership & people management;
    8.Independent and a self-starter with a strong resolve and confident outlook.
    9.Experience with employee training & development programs.
    10.Degree in any discipline with at least 7 years relevant experience. At least 3 years at senior managerial level preferably from MNC environment.
